WWE Tribute to the Troops is an annual event held by WWE and Armed Forces Entertainment in December during the holiday season since 2003, to honor and entertain United States Armed Forces members serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. WWE performers and employees travel to these countries and interact with troops for at least three days, visiting military camps, bases and hospitals, including the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital.

The 2016 Tribute to the Troops was an event that took place at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.. The event is billed as the "Most Patriotic Show of the Year." It was the 14th Tribute to the Troops show. It was taped on December 13, 2016 and broadcast on USA Network on December 14, 2016.

The 2015 Tribute to the Troops was an event that took place at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The event is billed as the "Most Patriotic Show of the Year." It was the 13th Tribute to the Troops show. It was taped on December 8, 2015 and broadcast on USA Network on December 23, 2015.

Over the Limit (2010) was a PPV presented by Axe Hair, which took place on May 23, 2010 at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. It was the first event promoted under the Over the Limit name. In the main event from the Raw brand, John Cena faced Batista for the WWE Championship, while The Big Show versus World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger was the main event from the SmackDown brand. The primary match of the evening was a 14-man interpromotional elimination tag match for 'ragging right' between the two brands. Smackdown was represented by Big Show, Mysterio, Swagger, Alberto Del Rio, Edge, Tyler Reks, and Kofi while Team raw was composed of The Miz, R-Truth, Shaemus, Santino, John Morrison, CM Punk, and Ezekiel Jackson. The main event was a singles match for the WWE Championship with Randy Orton defending the title against Wade Barrett with the stipulation that if Barrett lost, John Cena would be fired. A second main event was a Buried Alive match for the World Heavyweight Championship between defending champion Kane and The Undertaker.

John Cena serves as special guest referee in the Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett WWE Championship Match. If Barrett wins, Cena is freed from the Nexus, but if Orton wins, John Cena is fired from WWE.
